GREATEST INNINGS BY VEERU
GREATEST INNINGS BY VEERU...
Sehwag raced to his maiden double century in just 140 balls which included six huge sixes and 23 boundaries.
Sehwag also registered the highest individual score in the 50-over format on Thursday, blasting 219 in the fourth one-day international against West Indies at Indore.
Kieron Pollard removed Sehwag in the 47th over but not before the opener had hit 25 fours and seven sixes in his blistering 149-ball innings.
Sehwag surpassed Sachin Tendulkar's score when, on 197, he cut Andre Russell to the point fence for his 23rd boundary during the fourth ODI.
It was Sehwag's 15th three-figure knock in one-day cricket and the first since making 175 against Bangladesh in the opening match of the World Cup in Dhaka in February this year.
Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar was the first to reach the milestone when he scored unbeaten 200 against South Africa in Gwalior on February 24, 2010.
