WhatsApp finally brings Voice Calling to Windows Phone

WhatsApp is finally rolling out an update for Windows Phone users, which brings the most awaited feature to the app. Announced a year ago and added to WhatsApp beta a month ago, the voice calling facility is finally available on Windows Phone public app. This is not the end, the update brings another important feature to the app, sharing audio recordings. Now you can easily share audio files from the app without using any tricks. Below is the official changelog of the update.

  • WhatsApp Calling: Call your friends and family using WhatsApp for free, even if they’re in another country. WhatsApp calls use your phone’s Internet connection rather than your cellular plan’s voice minutes. Data charges may apply. Available on Windows Phone 8+.
  • You can now send audio files (available on Windows Phone 8.1+).

The new  update is highly welcomed and we are happy to see developers adding features to these apps at some point of time.

You can download the update from the Windows Phone Store Here. Do let us know your experience with the voice calling in the comments below.
